Media are the cutting tools used to abrade or
burnish edges & surface of components to be finished & also prevent the part to
part impingement of components. Depending on application, type of material to be finished
and components geometry, various types and sizes of media are offered like ceramic,
plastic, steel, glass beads, corncobs, etc. In each type, different grades are offered to
meet specific application requirement like, high abrasives for heavy cutting and
deburring, medium abrasives for descaling, basic deburring and smoothening, low abrasives
for polishing and fine finishing. |
